Shining Hot 40

Shining Hot 40 expands the Shining Hot series to 5×4 reels with 40 paylines. It keeps the series’ fruit machine design with one extra row, so the screen looks noticeably wider. If you’re new to it, get a feel for the tempo with the free slot demo first.

Check in the demo first

With the 4-row reels, the number of symbols visible on screen grows to 20. In the demo, watch how many of the 40 paylines hit at once and how often blazing diamonds and bells appear. Once you get a feel for that, choosing your bet size becomes much easier.

Symbols and payline highlights

The reels are mostly fruit symbols, with a flaming diamond and a scatter playing the key roles. With 40 paylines, the same symbol often hits across several lines at once. There are no bonus features, so this payline setup is the whole game.

Low volatility

Low volatility means your balance doesn’t swing much. Keep in mind that the minimum bet is 0.4, a higher starting amount than the 5-payline or 20-payline versions. Playing long sessions with small bets suits this game well.

The cap you can aim for without a bonus buy

There is no bonus buy or free spins, and the 2,500x max win comes only from base spins. The cap is the same as the other versions in the series, so choose a version based on your preference for paylines and screen size. The RTP comes in three settings: 96.36%, 95.39%, and 94.44%.

Summary

It’s the most balanced version in the Shining Hot series in terms of screen size and number of paylines. It’s a good fit if you like classic fruit machines but found 5×3 too cramped. If you’re looking for a mid-sized option in the Pragmatic Play slots retro lineup, this is the one.
