Mega Masks

Mega Masks is an ancient ruins themed slot where a mask temple, covered in vines for hundreds of years deep in the Guatemalan jungle, awakens once again. It was released on March 3, 2020. As a free demo, you can start exploring the temple right away with no sign-up.

What is the Mega Masks feature?

The Mega Masks feature can trigger on any spin, merging 2 or more reels to create at least 1 mega symbol. The signature moment of this game is a big symbol covering the screen and hitting all 41 lines at once. Among Relax Gaming slots, it stands out for its reel merge presentation. The temple-style backdrop and the stone reel animations are worth watching too.

How do the firefly free spins start?

When 3 bonus symbols land on reels 1, 3, and 5, you start with 10 free spins. During the free spins, fireflies light up the reels and clear relics off the vines one by one. Every time 5 relics are cleared, 2 adjacent reels merge and 2 more free spins are added. The more relics you clear, the more merged reels and remaining spins you get together, so the late free spins are especially exciting.

What does the Mega Bet stone change?

Using the glowing Mega Bet stone next to the game makes the Mega Masks symbol feature trigger more often. In this case, 5 or 9 relics may also be cleared in advance before the free spins start. Volatility is classed as adjustable because the game’s flow changes with mode choices like this. It is worth comparing the spin flow with and without Mega Bet separately.

Can you buy your way into the temple with bonus buy?

No, bonus buy is not available. Free spins open only through bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, so it is better to compare the difference between Mega Bet stone on and off in the demo instead. You can also see for yourself the moments when you start with relics already cleared. Just make sure you know the condition that starts the 10 free spins, and you will not lose track of the flow.

What should I check first in the demo?

The RTP is 96.41%, and the volatility is adjustable, changing with modes such as whether Mega Bet is used. The max win is a modest 2,451x, so it is closer to a steady flow than a big single hit. The bet range is €0.10 – €150, so try alternating between Mega Bet on and off in the demo. The key is to feel for yourself whether feature frequency changes noticeably.
