What kind of game is Football: Champions Cup?
A soccer slot with a 5-reel, 3-row, 20-payline layout featuring overlay wilds, a penalty shootout bonus game, and tournament free spins. You pick a team to support at the start, and the bonus and free spins play out like a real tournament. If you are looking for a sports-themed NetEnt slot, this one offers great immersion.
How do overlay wilds land?
In the base game, overlay wilds appear between reels 2 and 5. The first lands in a random position on reels 1 to 3, the second on reels 1 to 4, and after that wilds fall anywhere there is no wild yet. They never land on top of other wilds, scatters, or bonus symbols. A spin where multiple wilds get overlaid is a big opportunity in the base game.
How does the penalty shootout bonus work?
When 3 or more bonus symbols appear anywhere, the penalty shootout of 5 rounds begins. In each round, you first pick one of four positions to shoot, then become the goalkeeper and pick a position to block the opponent’s shot. A goal earns a coin win, and a save adds a win multiplier. If you miss your shot, you get neither coins nor a multiplier, so every round is tense.
How many matches does the tournament free spins go?
In the base game, 3 scatters on reels 2, 3, and 4 start the free spins, and one free spins round is one match. If you win the match, you move up to the next stage and the free spins open again. It runs from the round of 16 through the quarterfinals and semifinals to the final, for up to 4 rounds, with coin prizes for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place. Reaching the final is the ultimate goal.
What should I check first in the demo?
is 96.82%, volatility is medium-high, and the max win is 700x. The hit frequency is about 28%, and bonus buy is not available. In the demo, get used to the flow of shooting and saving in the penalty shootout bonus, and check how far the free spins tournament usually goes. If you lose in the tournament, the free spins end, so every match counts.
