Tales of Asgard: Loki’s Fortune

Tales of Asgard: Loki’s Fortune is a Norse mythology slot where Loki, always in Thor’s shadow, uses all sorts of tricks to stop Thor’s coronation over the throne of Asgard. It was released on October 28, 2021, and you can play it right away as a free demo.

What does Tales of Asgard: Loki’s Fortune mean for the series?

This is a new addition to the Norse mythology series from Play’n GO slots, and the biggest point is that Loki takes the lead role for the first time. The story centers on a family feud, with Loki competing against Thor over who will inherit their father’s throne. True to his shapeshifting nature, Loki’s mischievous streak runs through the whole game. Seeing Asgard through Loki’s eyes instead of Thor’s is a fresh take.

What do Mystery symbols do?

Reflecting Loki’s playful personality, the mystery symbols are designed to reveal multiple paths to a win. The board changes the moment a hidden symbol is revealed, which fits the character of the god of tricks. The most anticipated moment is when mystery symbols open all at once on the 3,125-ways grid. Not knowing what the symbols across the screen will turn into is a twist worthy of Loki.

Do Odin and Thor appear on the grid too?

Yes, Odin and Thor both appear on the grid so you can feel the family feud story. Loki himself plays the wild role. It ties in naturally with the story that Loki, who is after the throne, stands in for other symbols as a wild. While Thor and Odin stay in place, Loki slips in anywhere and changes the board, so the character’s setup and the symbol roles fit together well. Details like this add to the immersion.

What does the Loki animation beside the reels do?

The animated Loki standing beside the reels reacts to your choices during play and shows off his signature gestures and personality. It’s less a device that directly affects wins and more a presentation touch that brings out the character’s personality, so fans of Loki will enjoy watching it. Even when the same scene repeats, Loki’s expressions and gestures differ, which helps keep things from getting dull. If you like character-driven presentation, this part alone offers plenty to watch.

What should I check first in the demo?

The RTP is 94.2% and the max win is 20,000x your bet. There’s no official volatility figure, so get a feel for it yourself in the demo. It helps to watch how often mystery symbols appear, what symbols they turn into when revealed, and how often the Loki wild is mixed into wins. Also check the wins where Odin and Thor symbols land together.
