Sabaton

Sabaton is a high-energy music slot made in partnership with the legendary Swedish power metal band Sabaton, featuring their hit songs. It was released on May 9, 2019, and with the free demo you can step onto the battlefield stage right away with no sign-up.

How is Sabaton connected to the band?

This game was made in an official collaboration with the Swedish power metal band Sabaton, so the band’s hit songs play throughout. Vocalist Joakim Brodén appears as the wild and the band logo as the scatter, so there’s plenty here for fans to enjoy. Among the Play’n GO slot music series featuring real bands, it’s one of the more fiery ones. Fitting for a band that sings about war history, the screen is also styled with a battlefield atmosphere.

How do basic wins and wilds work?

Matching 3, 4, or 5 of the same symbol on the 10 paylines wins. Lead vocalist Joakim Brodén appears as the wild, substituting for all symbols except the scatter to build great winning combinations. The rules themselves are simple, and the key is in the Battalion Spins. Playing with the music on makes the immersion noticeably different. Seeing the vocal wild stretch across several rows is also worth watching.

How are the Battalion Spins opened?

When 9 band logo scatters land on the reels, the Battalion Spins begin. You get 7 free spins, and one of the game symbols is chosen to appear as a stack during this feature. The 9-scatter condition is unusual, so you’ll find yourself counting logos throughout the base game. It’s fun to keep spinning while counting how many logos have piled up.

What’s different in the Battalion Spins?

During the Battalion Spins, reels 2 to 4 are always connected as one, and high symbols or wilds appear on these reels as giant mega symbols. Scatters can also appear as mega symbols, and collecting 9 again adds 7 more spins. One symbol is chosen as a stack on every spin, which makes the screen feel even heavier. Spins where mega symbols and stacked symbols overlap fill the screen all at once.

What should I check first in the demo?

RTP is 94.5% and the max win is 5,000x your bet. Bonus buy is not available, so you have to collect 9 scatters yourself to open the Battalion Spins. There is no official volatility figure, so use the demo to see how many scatters gather at a time and how much the mega symbols change the result. Also count how many spins it takes to reach the Battalion Spins.
