Battle Royal

Battle Royal is a lighthearted black comedy slot set in Tudor England, featuring Henry VIII and his six queens. It was released on December 10, 2018, and with the free demo you can jump straight into the castle chaos with no sign-up.

What is the story of Battle Royal?

Step back into the Tudor court of Henry VIII and watch the chaos among six queens vying for the king’s heart. Your goal is to find the key to escape the castle while dodging the ghostly shadows of the beheaded queens. The setup, where you pick the queen who will survive to the end and claim the king’s riches, is clever too. It is a Play’n GO slot that humorously twists a story from history. It takes a heavy subject and handles it lightly, so it is easy to enjoy.

What are the wild and scatter?

Henry VIII himself appears as the wild and helps build winning combinations. The Battle Royal crest is the scatter, acting like a pass for getting safely through the castle. When crests land on reels 1 and 5 together, features like free spins or Long Live the King are triggered. You only need to watch the outer reels, so the trigger condition is easy to see. When a crest shows on reel 1, there is real tension waiting for reel 5.

How do you pick a queen in free spins?

When you enter free spins, you pick the one queen out of six you think will survive to the end. As the free spins go on, a guillotine drops on each reel and the queens are eliminated one by one. The core of this feature is that the longer your chosen queen lasts, the more you can look forward to a reward. Eliminated queens also bring changes, so the screen keeps shifting. That single choice sets the mood of the whole round.

What does the Long Live the King feature do?

Long Live the King is a feature opened by the Battle Royal crest scatters, along with free spins. As the name suggests, it centers on the king, matching the story of Henry VIII escaping the castle. The most accurate way to learn the details is to enter the feature in the demo yourself. It is also fun to compare how it differs from free spins. For both features, the crests on reels 1 and 5 are the key.

What should I check first in the demo?

RTP is 94.51% and the max win is 5,000x your bet. Bonus buy is not available, so you have to open the feature yourself with the crests on reels 1 and 5. There is no official volatility figure, so in the demo try switching queens and compare how the free spins results differ. It also helps to count how often the crest scatters land on both outer reels. After a few tries, you will likely find a queen you like.
