Aztec Idols

Aztec Idols is the slot where Play’n GO first introduced the adventurer Rich Wilde, who heads into the South American jungle in search of golden idols. It was released on August 11, 2012, and you can try the free demo right away with no sign-up.

Why is Aztec Idols special?

In the official description, this is the game where Play’n GO first introduces Mr. Rich Wilde. The rugged yet gentlemanly adventurer Rich Wilde leads the way into the South American jungle. It is the starting point of the Rich Wilde series that later leads to Book of Dead, so it is worth a try for any fan of Play’n GO slots. The lush jungle expedition atmosphere is also vividly captured.

How are the wild and scatters set up?

Rich Wilde himself is the wild symbol, substituting for every symbol except the Pyramid and the Sun Stone to create wins. The Pyramid is the bonus scatter, and the Sun Stone is the free spins scatter. Because the two scatters unlock different features, what you hope to see changes depending on which scatter appears on screen. Telling the two scatters apart makes the flow easier to follow.

How does the golden idol picking bonus work?

When 3 Pyramid symbols land anywhere on the screen, the Pick-the-Idols bonus begins. You pick golden idols one at a time to collect prizes. However, if an idol you pick is a trap and a cloud of poison gas bursts out, the bonus ends right there. Every additional idol you pick makes you nervous about a trap.

How do the Sun Stone free spins start?

When 3 Sun Stone symbols land on the reels, the Sun Stone free spins feature opens. The Sun Stone spins and stops, randomly selecting one reel symbol. The official description provided cuts off at this point, so it is best to check in the demo what role the selected symbol plays in the free spins. Comparing it with other games in the Rich Wilde series is also fun.

What should I check first in the demo?

The RTP is 94.15%, and the listed max win is 22,725x the total bet. Bonus buy is not available. There is no official volatility figure, so use the demo to get a feel for how many idols you usually pick in Pick the Idols before hitting a trap, and what difference the symbol chosen by the Sun Stone makes in the free spins. See where the series began for yourself.
