Red Hot BBQ

Red Hot BBQ is a slot depicting a backyard barbecue party, where Mystery Sauce turns into the same ingredient all at once. In free spins, the grill heats up and symbols get upgraded. It was released on April 25, 2023, and you can enjoy it with the free demo, no sign-up needed.

What kind of game is Red Hot BBQ?

A 5-reel, 3-row, 20-payline game. Barbecue ingredients like garlic, onion, serrano, jalapeño, habanero, and ghost pepper appear as the high symbols. With a single Mystery Sauce turning the screen into the same symbol, its rules are among the easier ones of the Red Tiger slots. The bet range is €0.1 – €50.

How does Mystery Sauce work?

Mystery Sauce scatters can land anywhere on the screen. In the base game, all the sauces that land turn into the same barbecue symbol, one of garlic, onion, serrano, jalapeño, habanero, or ghost pepper. The more sauces that land, the more of the same symbol appear at once, making payline wins easier. The higher the ingredient symbol, the bigger the win.

How many free spins do I get?

3, 4, or 5 free spins scatters give 9, 12, or 15 free spins respectively. In the bonus, Mystery Sauces with a yellow pepper icon fire up the Hot Bar and trigger symbol upgrades. The screen gets steadily better compared with the base game, so the later part of the bonus is especially exciting. You can think of Hot Bar progress as resetting once the bonus ends.

How do you fill the Hot Bar?

The Hot Bar shows the order of high symbols from garlic to ghost pepper. Each sauce with a yellow pepper fills 1 slot, and every 3 slots the lowest symbol turns into the symbol right above it. When all the low symbols become ghost peppers, the chance of a big win opens up, as the official description says. The longer the bonus runs, the more upgrades stack up.

What should I check first in the demo?

RTP is 95.66%, the max win is 1,110x, hit frequency is 29.74%, and the official volatility index is 15.39. Since bonus buy is available, open the free spins in the demo and see how many slots the Hot Bar fills and how many levels the symbols get upgraded. In the base game, the thing to watch is which ingredient the Mystery Sauce turns into.
