Over The Moon
Over The Moon Free Slot Demo review
Over The Moon is a space-themed Megaways slot where you launch rockets to collect meteor prizes. It launched on April 18, 2023, and you can play the free demo right away with no sign-up.
What kind of slot is Over The Moon?
This Megaways slot offers up to 117,649 ways to win and adds rocket and meteorite collection features. Built on the signature cascade structure of the Big Time Gaming slots that originated Megaways, the rocket gathers meteorite prizes as the cascades roll. Volatility is medium-high, so it is less demanding than very high volatility games. The space theme is presented cleanly and fits well.
How do the rocket and meteorite prizes work?
On any spin or cascade, a rocket carrying an x1, x5, or x10 multiplier can fly onto the screen. When the rocket collects a meteorite, you receive a meteorite prize worth 100x the max bet. However, the rocket loses one fuel slot after each cascade ends, and when the fuel runs out it returns to Earth. So the key is how many meteorites it collects while it still has fuel.
Why is the battery symbol important?
Landing 3 golden star scatters gives 12 free spins, and each scatter beyond the third adds 2 more. During free spins, the uncapped rocket multiplier rises each time a rocket arrives, and when a battery symbol drops, the rocket is refueled and stays longer. The longer the rocket lasts, the more meteorites it can collect. You’ll find yourself waiting for rounds where batteries drop often.
What is different about the enhanced free spins from the purple star Mega Scatter?
If one of the trigger scatters is the purple star Mega Scatter, you enter the enhanced free spins. Here, each time a rocket arrives the rocket multiplier rises by 2 instead of 1, so it climbs twice as fast. With bonus buy, you can buy 12 regular free spins for 70x your bet or 12 enhanced free spins for 140x. If you want to build the multiplier quickly, the enhanced version is appealing.
What should I check first in the demo?
96.55%, medium-high volatility (6.6/10), max win 13,570x. Hit frequency is on the high side at 39.36%, and the bet range is wide, from 0.2 to 50. In the demo, watch how many meteorites the rocket collects before it runs out of fuel and heads back, and how often batteries show up. It also helps to keep an eye on the size of the meteorite prizes.
Pros
- Medium-high volatility with a relatively steady flow
- Enhanced free spins where the multiplier rises by 2
- Wide bet range up to a max bet of 50
Cons
- Max win of 13,570x is on the low side
- The rocket fuel rules can be confusing at first
