Taco Fury XXXtreme

Taco Fury XXXtreme is a quirky zombie food-themed slot where a zombie chef splashes special sauce to grow taco wilds. Released on May 9, 2023, and you can taste some spicy spins in the free demo with no sign-up.

What kind of game is Taco Fury XXXtreme?

Built around the unusual pairing of zombies and tacos, this game has taco wilds on the middle reels that carry multipliers up to 5x to boost your wins. Above reels 2, 3, and 4 there’s an extra special strip, which serves as the stage where the zombie chef’s Wild Explosion symbols drop. Among NetEnt slots, it’s the style that bets everything on wild enhancement.

How is a Wild Explosion triggered?

If there’s a taco wild under a Wild Explosion symbol that lands on the special strip above reels 2, 3, and 4, the sauce drops onto the wild, raises the multiplier, and triggers a respin. There are three effects: raise the multiplier by 1 and add 1 taco wild to each neighboring reel, add 1 to each neighboring row, or add 2 to 3 in random positions.

What gets locked during the respin?

Once the Wild Explosion has added and boosted all the taco wilds, chains wrap around the wilds and lock them in place. You then get one free respin, and only the cells that aren’t taco wilds spin again with new symbols. Because the respin runs with several multiplier wilds locked in, a single respin carries a lot of weight. The more locked wilds, the bigger the respin result.

How many Extreme Spins are there?

There are two. Paying 20x your bet per spin guarantees 1 Wild Explosion, and paying 60x guarantees 2. Bonus buy isn’t available, so these enhanced spins are the only way to be sure of seeing the feature. In the demo you can try both tiers with no cost. At the higher tier, you can see respins chain together more often.

What should I check first in the demo?

Max win is 533x your bet. Details like RTP and volatility haven’t been published separately, so the surest way is to see how it plays in the demo yourself. Check in turn how often the Wild Explosion shows up on regular spins, how high the locked taco wild multiplier climbs during respins, and the difference between the 1 and 2 guaranteed explosions of the Extreme Spins.
