Scruffy Duck
Scruffy Duck Free Slot Demo review
Scruffy Duck is a brightly colored 5 reel, 25 line slot that gives a classic fairy tale a playful twist. When free spins open, you pick one of five ducks to decide that round’s feature. It was released on May 11, 2017, and you can pick a duck right away in the free demo.
What kind of game is Scruffy Duck?
This is a slot with a 5 reel, 3 row, 25 line layout, stacked symbols, expanding wilds, and free spins with one of five features. The duck symbols land stacked, and even the visible portion alone can create line wins. If you like playful characters, it is an easy-going pick among NetEnt slots.
How do expanding wilds work?
Expanding wilds appear in both the base game and free spins, and substitute for every symbol except the free spins symbol. Outside the Colossal Wild feature they can land on any reel, but during the Colossal Wild feature they only appear on reels 1 and 5. On paylines they always count toward the highest possible win. Since one expanding wild covers an entire reel, multiple paylines connect easily.
How are free spins triggered?
It triggers when 3 free spin symbols land on reels 3, 4, and 5 in the base game. Pick one of the five ducks and a randomly assigned feature is revealed, and that feature sets the number of free spins and the rules. You cannot receive extra free spins during free spins. Whichever duck you pick, the result is random, but the moment of choosing gives a little fun of its own.
What are the five free spins features?
The multiplier makes every win 3x for 15 spins, and symbol removal clears all low symbols for 12 spins. Colossal Wild places a 2×2 or 3×3 wild on reels 2-4 for 10 spins, and random wilds scatter 2 to 5 wilds each spin for 8 spins. The double feature randomly mixes two features for 6 spins.
What should I check first in the demo?
is 96.38%, volatility is medium-high, and the max win is 1,200x. Hit frequency is about 23%, and bonus buy is not available. The most fun in the demo is to meet each of the five features and compare the difference in results between the ones with more spins and the ones with fewer. Even with the same free spins, the mood changes a lot depending on the feature.
Pros
- Five free spins features picked by choosing a duck
- 3x win multiplier feature
