Cloud Quest
Cloud Quest Free Slot Demo review
Cloud Quest is a grid slot set in a kingdom above the clouds, where winning symbols disappear and the remaining ones fall to keep the chain going. It was released on March 9, 2016, and you can play right away with the free demo and no sign-up.
How does Cloud Quest play?
Once all wins in a round are resolved, the symbols used in the wins are cleared and the remaining symbols drop down, creating new win chances within the same round. There is a puzzle-like fun in clearing the 25-cell grid. Among Play’n GO slots, it nicely shows the feel of early grid games. The adventure-in-the-sky theme is fresh and pleasant too.
Where does the Golden Shield wild appear?
The Golden Shield is a wild that substitutes for all symbols. When a 3-symbol winning combination is cleared, a wild takes the place of the middle symbol, which raises the chance of extra wins after the symbols drop. It is the key feature that keeps the chain going. Because the wild stays in the middle position, the next combination is easier to form around the cleared spot. It works on a similar principle to the wild moon in Moon Princess.
How does the BONUS row work?
Each round, one row of the grid is designated as the BONUS row. Clear all 5 symbols in this row and the bonus round starts. If you clear all 25 cells of the grid, the kingdom rewards you with a special prize, so you have two goals: one row and a full clear. Since the BONUS row position is set each round, wins near that row naturally draw your attention.
What does the Super Power wheel do?
When a Super Power symbol appears, some sections of the Super Power wheel become active. You get a chance to win free respins on the wheel along with one of four special Super Powers. Respins are played at the same bet as the spin that triggered them, and there is no BONUS row during this time. Depending on which of the four powers you land, the respin results can vary greatly.
What should I check first in the demo?
is 94.54%, and the listed max win is 150x the total bet. Bonus buy is not available. There is no official volatility figure, so in the demo check how often you clear the BONUS row, whether a full clear of all 25 cells actually happens, and what effect the Super Power respins have. The max win is low, but the game focuses on puzzle-style fun instead.
Pros
- Puzzle-like fun of clearing the grid
- The BONUS row and the full-clear goal
- Four Super Power respins
Cons
- Very low cap with a max of 150x
- Low RTP of 94.54%
