Gold Trophy 2

Gold Trophy 2 is a golf-themed slot where you tee off on the green and chase the winner’s trophy. It was released on February 1, 2014, and you can try it right away with a free demo, no sign-up needed.

What kind of game is Gold Trophy 2?

This is a golf slot where you make wins by matching 3 or more of the same symbol across a 5×3 reel layout with up to 20 paylines. With the concept of finishing a round under par and going for the gold medal, a few bonus features help boost your wins. If you like sports themes, it’s an easy, enjoyable pick among Play’n GO slots. Golf fans will appreciate the theme.

Does the trophy wild get a multiplier?

Yes, when a Gold Trophy wild is part of a winning combination, that win gets a 2x multiplier. However, the multiplier doesn’t apply to combinations made up of wilds only. The key to this game is that during free spins, the multiplier in the same situation grows to a whopping 6x. So once you enter free spins, each wild carries a very different weight, and it feels much different from the base game.

What does the Prize Cheque scatter do?

Prize Cheque scatters appear in the base game. Scatter wins are calculated by multiplying the total bet and are added on top of payline wins. It’s the symbol that leads into free spins, but the provided description cuts off after that, so check the exact conditions in the demo. Keep in mind that scatter wins are added separately from line wins.

Is the RTP higher than other early titles?

The listed RTP is 96.88%, clearly higher than the 93-94% figures listed for Play’n GO games from the same period. The max win is 5,000x the total bet. Because the wild multiplier jumps significantly in free spins, getting into free spins matters. So be sure to compare how the wild multiplier feels in the base game versus free spins in the free demo.

What should I check first in the demo?

Keep the numbers in mind first: RTP 96.88% and max 5,000x. Bonus buy is not available. There’s no official volatility figure, so use the demo to get a feel for how many Prize Cheque scatters it takes to open free spins, and how often the 6x wild wins show up in free spins. Enjoy the golf tournament atmosphere of teeing off, too.
