Naughty Nick's Book

Naughty Nick’s Book is an offbeat Christmas Eve story in which Santa Naughty Nick and his friends choose mischief over being good, delivering pranks instead of presents. It was released on December 8, 2022, and you can enjoy the free demo right away with no sign-up.

What kind of Christmas slot is Naughty Nick’s Book?

This is no ordinary Christmas slot. You enjoy the holidays through the eyes of the mischievous Santa Naughty Nick and his troublemaking friends, following their pranks all the way to the pile of presents under the tree. It is a seasonal title from Play’n GO slots that twists the book-style structure made famous by Book of Dead into a Christmas setting, so it feels familiar yet fresh. Santa’s mischievous expressions are worth watching too.

The sixth reel opens in the free spins?

When 3 or more Naughty-and-Nice ledger scatters land on any reels, the free spins open. At that moment Elf Eric rips open a sixth reel on the right side of the grid and the round begins. With one more reel, there is more room for the expanding symbol to build wins. The animation of Elf Eric tearing the reel open is cute and fun to watch.

How many free spins are there and how do retriggers work?

You start with 8 free spins. If 3 scatters land again on any reels during the round, it retriggers, and each retrigger adds another 8 spins. Because spins are added in fixed amounts, every time the scatters gather again the round gets noticeably longer. You only need to collect 3 scatters again, so the anticipation lasts throughout the round. Stacking in 8s also makes the math easy.

How is the special expanding symbol chosen?

When the free spins begin, one random symbol is selected as the special expanding symbol. The concept is to load this symbol up behind Nick’s sleigh to create more winning combinations. On top of that, you can gamble the gift you receive with the gamble feature and go for a bigger bundle. There is also some fun in choosing whether to gamble for a bigger reward after a win.

What should I look at first in the demo?

RTP is 94.28% and the max win is 7,500x. There is no official volatility figure, so get a feel for it in the demo. It helps to check which special expanding symbol is picked in the free spins, how much bigger the expanding wins get once the sixth reel is attached, and how many times the retriggers keep coming. You can also test the gamble feature risk-free in the demo.
