Aurum Codex
Aurum Codex Free Slot Demo review
Aurum Codex is a 5-reel, 3-row slot built around decoding the secret documents of a Renaissance alchemist. It was released on November 12, 2020, and with the free demo you can see how the alchemy wilds move right away, with no sign-up.
What is the basic structure of Aurum Codex?
This is a classic line slot with 20 paylines on 5 reels and 3 rows. Wilds land only on the first and last reels, and once they drop they stay in place until the next spin. With the focus on the movement of the outer reels instead of flashy chain reactions, it has one of the cleaner rule sets among Red Tiger slots. The theme is alchemy and Renaissance mystery, and the spreading golden wilds are the main highlight.
When does Wild Alchemy trigger?
It triggers when the Alchemy Wilds on reel 1 and reel 5 line up in the same row. Every symbol between them turns into a Golden Wild, so the entire row ends up filled with wilds. The locked wild stays for the next spin, so there is a thrill in waiting for the opposite side when only one has landed. Lining up in the same row is what matters, and the spin right after one wild locks is the most anticipated moment.
Does the hourglass add free spins?
When 3 free spins symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, 10 free spins begin. After you receive the 10, if the hourglass flips at random, 5 more are added, and if it flips once more, another 5 are added, for up to 20 in total. The key is to watch the opening sequence to the end. The maximum of 20 only comes when the hourglass flips twice in a row.
How do Alchemy wilds change in free spins?
In the base game, an Alchemy Wild is locked for just the next spin, but in the free spins it stays locked until the bonus ends. So the more wilds stack up on both ends, the better the chance of a Golden Wild conversion in the same row. The heart of the bonus is these locked wilds. The earlier wilds land in the bonus, the more chances you have to use them over the remaining spins.
What should I check first in the demo?
is 95.77%, the max win is 4,131x, and the hit frequency is 34.05%. The official volatility index is listed as 13.64. The bet range is €0.1 – €50 and bonus buy is not available, so in the demo, first count how often wilds land on reels 1 and 5. It also helps to note how many times the hourglass flips in the free spins.
Pros
- When the wilds on both ends meet, a whole row turns wild
- Alchemy wilds that stay fixed throughout free spins
- A bonus that can grow up to 20 spins with the hourglass
Cons
- Wilds only land on reels 1 and 5, so the condition is tough
- No bonus buy, so you have to hunt for the free spins yourself
