Secret of Dead

Secret of Dead is an Egyptian-themed slot that picks up after the Scroll of Shai has been found and the path to an ancient treasure, asleep for centuries, has opened. It was released on February 24, 2022, and you can try it right away with the free demo, no sign-up needed.

Where does Secret of Dead fit in the Dead series?

It joins the popular Dead series from Play’n GO slots, best known for Book of Dead. Rather than building a new mechanic from scratch, it combines popular features from two earlier games in the series. So series veterans will pick up the rules quickly, and newcomers can get a taste of the Dead series’ core in one go.

What feature comes from Legacy of Dead?

It brings over the multi expanding symbols feature from Legacy of Dead. The key point is that multiple symbols can expand together, rather than only a single symbol expanding. When several expanding symbols land, the screen fills up quickly, which adds weight to a single spin. If you’ve played Legacy of Dead, you already know how intense it is when several symbols spread out at once. This time you see that moment alongside the locked reel.

Does it also include the 6th reel from Scroll of Dead?

Yes, it includes the locked 6th reel used in Scroll of Dead. This reel, normally locked, combines with the multi expanding symbols so the game uses the strengths of both predecessors at once. The moments when the two features mesh are the game’s biggest highlight. For series fans, just seeing what this combination produces is interesting enough.

How does the Scroll of Shai story continue?

In the setting, the game takes place right after the Scroll of Shai is obtained and the path opened. It emphasizes the feeling that the secret of the ancient treasure, awaited for centuries, is now within reach. It feels like the story of Scroll of Dead naturally turning to the next chapter, a welcome link for series fans. The focus has shifted from the previous game’s search for the scroll to the treasure itself.

What should I check first in the demo?

RTP is 94.2% and the max win is 10,000x your bet. There is no official volatility figure, so it’s best to get a feel for it in the demo. After seeing a few spins where multiple expanding symbols land and the 6th reel moves along with them, the win structure becomes clear at a glance. If you’re new to it, start by getting comfortable with how line wins appear in the base game.
