Overview
Infinity Reels is a slot mechanic created by ReelPlay, a game provider based in Sydney, Australia. Starting from a 3-reel grid, each time a win continues, a new reel is added on the right, and each added reel raises the multiplier applied to all wins. It’s called “infinity” because there is no fixed limit to the number of reels.

How it works
Condition for adding a reel
Based on El Dorado Infinity Reels, the grid starts as 3 reels by 4 rows. If a symbol on the rightmost reel is part of a win, a new reel is added and spun to its right. If the symbols on the new reel continue the win, another one is added, and when the win no longer continues, that spin ends. The next spin starts again with 3 reels.
Multiplier per reel
Each time a new reel is added, the multiplier rises by 1 and applies to all wins. The longer the reels chain, the more winning symbols there are and the bigger the multiplier gets.

Jackpot and bonus
In El Dorado and Giza Infinity Reels, adding 12 or more new reels in a single spin awards a jackpot of 888x your bet. In El Dorado’s bonus, you must choose among “Save,” “Gamble” and “Play” for the free spin result, and the more you save, the larger the per-reel multiplier increase gets: +2, +3, +4.

Around the same time, NetEnt was separately developing a similar mechanic under the name “InfiniReels.” The two companies signed an agreement on April 27, 2020 to jointly protect and expand both the Infinity Reels and InfiniReels trademarks. NetEnt explained at the time that “the two companies were following similar ideas on their own, so it made sense to join forces.” Afterward, Red Tiger, which is in the same group as NetEnt, also released InfiniReels games.
