“Will you surrender to the night?” That is the question the official Microgaming game page uses to close its introduction of Moonlight Romance – Twilight. The setup: a forbidden love deepens under a twilight moon, an ancient bloodline awakens, and the hunt for immortal rewards begins.
This game, which Microgaming unveiled on October 14, is the sequel to Moonlight Romance – The Awakening, released in July 2025. The red-haired heroine, the three men, and the rose-covered castle garden all return. Many of the original’s feature names are back as well.
Wild Bloom comes down to the base game
The biggest change is where Wild Bloom lives. In the original, Wild Bloom was a free spins mode you had to unlock by opening the red treasure chest. In Twilight, it can awaken at any moment in the base game. When it triggers, a wild covering an entire reel is revealed from the shadows.
It means a scene you used to see only in the bonus now shows up in regular spins too. In a very high volatility game, when the base game drags on, Wild Bloom helps fill the gap.
The Treasure Chest free spins mix four features
Opening the treasure chest starts the free spins. These free spins add Wild Spread and Wild Multiply, while Reel Expand and Reel Twin change the reel layout yet again. Two wild-type features and two reel-altering features work together in a single bonus.
The official description doesn’t say what numbers drive each of the four features. For the detailed rules of each feature, it’s more reliable to check them yourself in the demo.
