Butterfly Staxx
Butterfly Staxx Free Slot Demo review
Butterfly Staxx is a 5-reel, 4-row, 40-payline slot that captures the beauty of nature. Its core feature is a swarm of butterflies gently landing on the reels to keep the re-spins going. It was released on June 21, 2017, and you can enjoy it right away with the free demo.
What kind of game is Butterfly Staxx?
This is a slot with a 5-reel, 4-row, 40-payline structure featuring wilds, respins, and Butterfly Spins. Its distinctive move is that a butterfly symbol flies to the leftmost empty spot in the same row and locks in place. If you want an elegant mood rather than flashy effects, it is an eye-pleasing pick among NetEnt slots.
When do the respins start?
When a butterfly stack covers an entire reel, re-spins begin. Before the re-spins start, any line wins from that round are paid first, and every butterfly flies to the leftmost spot in the same row that doesn’t yet have a butterfly and stays there to the end. New butterflies that appear during the re-spins fly over the same way and award one more re-spin. When no more butterflies appear, the re-spins end.
How do Butterfly Spins work?
It starts when 3 or more scatters land anywhere in the base game. During this feature only cocoon symbols drop, and cocoons are either sleeping or active. When one lands in a spot where an active cocoon appears, it turns into a butterfly, flies left, and locks in place, and line wins are added up each time. No extra spins can be won during Butterfly Spins.
Why does it matter that the butterflies fly to the left?
Payline wins must connect from the leftmost reel, so the more butterflies that fill in from the left, the longer the wins on the same line get. Locked butterflies stay in place until the re-spins or Butterfly Spins end. The highlight of this game is seeing a whole row fill up with butterflies. Watching the butterflies fill in the lines is the fun of this game in itself.
What should I check first in the demo?
The RTP is a high 96.80%, volatility is medium, and the max win is 300x. Hit frequency is about 24%. In the demo, check how often butterfly stacks cover a reel and trigger re-spins, and how many active cocoons show up in the Butterfly Spins. Bonus buy is not available. The pace is calm, so it’s easy to play for a long session.
