Codex of Fortune
Codex of Fortune Free Slot Demo review
Codex of Fortune is an elegantly illustrated slot inspired by French Art Nouveau, where the key is climbing a 7-step ladder to grow your rewards. It was released on June 30, 2021, and you can climb the ladder right away with the free demo and no sign-up.
What kind of game is Codex of Fortune?
It’s a paylines slot with 40 lines on 5 reels and 4 rows, where both Fortune Respins and Free Spins climb a 7-step bonus ladder called Fortune Win. With a high RTP of 98.00%, the numbers stand out even among NetEnt slots. According to official info, the ladder rewards reach up to 200x in Fortune Respins and up to 10,000x in Free Spins.
How does the Fortune Win ladder go up?
Fortune Win is divided into 7 levels, and each level has 5 spots with steadily growing prizes. You start from the lowest spot and move up one spot at a time by collecting the collector symbols that land on the reels. When a key symbol appears, the level itself goes up, so all prizes, including the spots you have already reached, get bigger. The earlier a key lands, the bigger every later spot’s prize becomes, so the moment the level rises is the most welcome one.
When do Fortune Respins start?
It starts when 2 scatters and a line win appear together in the main game, and the winning symbols become collector symbols. Only collector symbols and keys appear on the reels, collector symbols stay until the end, and every 5 filled spots move you up one step. It ends when no collector symbol or key lands, or when all 20 are collected. When it ends, you can choose how to use your keys.
How are the free spins wheel and Save the Key connected?
When 3 scatters trigger free spins, you stop a 3-tier wheel to set the number of spins (7-13), the collector symbols, and the number of extra keys. In free spins, every 20 spots move you up one step, and a +10 symbol fills 10 spots on the meter. Keys earned in Fortune Respins can be saved and used before free spins begin, up to 3 at a time. Each scatter during free spins also adds 1 spin.
What should I check first in the demo?
RTP 98.00%, medium-high volatility, and a hit frequency of about 25%. The bet range is 0.2-100, and bonus buy is not available. As the official description says, linking the two features on the same bet makes them stronger, so in the demo, compare using the key right away with saving it via Save the Key for free spins. The way your choice changes the result is the charm of this game.
