Rich Wilde and the Tome of Dead

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Dead is a new Rich Wilde game that brings the Book of Dead experience to a 5×5 cluster grid. The story follows Rich, who breaks a seal and is hunted by Ammut, the devourer of the dead. It was released on April 24, 2025, and you can try it right away with the free demo.

How is Tome of Dead different from Book of Dead?

Instead of paylines, this is a cluster game where 4 or more matching symbols touching on a 5×5 grid win. Winning symbols disappear and new ones drop in, creating cascades. It’s from the Play’n GO slots team behind Book of Dead, who retell the same world with a completely different structure, so comparing the two is half the fun.

How strong is the multiplier wild?

There are three kinds of wilds, and the multiplier wild is the strongest. When it takes part in a win, it multiplies the payout by up to 5x in the base game and up to 10x in the bonus game. If several are mixed into one cluster, only the highest multiplier applies. So just checking which multiplier wilds are in a cluster gives you a good idea of the size of the win.

When does the All-Seeing Eye take effect?

The All-Seeing Eye can appear on the grid at any time as a closed frame. When a winning cluster covers this frame, 2 to 4 wilds are summoned onto the reels. This makes it more likely that the cascade continues one more time. The frame waits closed and opens the moment a win covers it, so you’ll find yourself watching to see whether clusters stretch toward it. Summoned wilds are used right away in the next chain.

Does Rich Wilde and the Tome of Dead have a bonus buy?

Bonus buy is not available. That means even in the demo, you have to wait for the bonus game to trigger naturally. In the bonus game, the multiplier wild cap rises to 10x, so be sure to compare the difference when you get in. The cap doubles from the 5x of the base game, so the bonus game clearly feels heavier. That moment of entry is the biggest thing to look forward to.

What should I check first in the demo?

The RTP is 96.21% and the max win is 5,000x your bet. There’s no official volatility figure, so use the demo to get a feel for how often clusters chain together. Watch how many cascade steps you get after the All-Seeing Eye summons wilds and you’ll pick up the flow. Playing it alongside Book of Dead really shows how the same world can feel different in your hands.
