Relationship with Brazil
Brazil, a Portuguese-speaking country, opened a large regulated market in 2025, and the experience of companies holding Portuguese licenses is being put to use in the Brazilian expansion. Because the language and payment culture are similar, Portugal is sometimes used as a testing ground before entering Brazil. Together with Spain, it is an Iberian market that uses a “national domain + per-game certification” approach.
Location
The SRIJ is part of Portugal's tourism authority, based in Lisbon.
