Legendary Monkey King

Legendary Monkey King is a Journey to the West-themed slot telling the story of Sun Wukong, the Great Sage who shook the heavenly palace. It was released on October 18, 2021, and you can try it right away with the free demo, no sign-up needed.

How is the Sun Wukong story reflected in the game?

The story follows Sun Wukong, who steals the Ruyi Jingu Bang, wrecks the Peach Banquet, gets trapped in the Eight Trigrams Furnace, escapes with his fiery golden eyes, and then causes an uproar in the heavenly palace. The game starts on a 5-reel, 4-row, 1,024-ways screen. If you like Eastern mythology themes, it’s one of the more appealing picks among PG Soft slots. Journey to the West elements like the Ruyi Jingu Bang, the peaches, and the Eight Trigrams Furnace are woven throughout the symbols and visuals.

What does the expanding reel symbol do?

When an expanding reel symbol appears, one symbol row is added to the reel. As rows grow, the number of win paths grows with them, giving you more chances to land combinations than the base 1,024 ways. It’s the core feature that lives up to the game’s name. The screen stretching taller as reels grow looks great, and when the reels expand several times alongside cascading, the win paths increase noticeably.

How do multipliers increase?

According to the official description, this game features a growing multiplier. The multiplier builds up while wins continue through cascading, so the longer the chain goes, the bigger the result. Since the multiplier starts over once the chain breaks, the ideal scenario is a long chain after expanding reel symbols have added rows.

How many free spins are awarded?

3 scatter symbols start 8 free spins. This is the stage where expanding reels and multipliers work together, so it’s the place to aim for the max 6,030x. With only 8 free spins, every single spin matters, and it’s fun to watch how the expanded reels get used during the free spins.

What should I check first in the demo?

The RTP is 96.71% with medium volatility, and the max win is 6,030x. The bet range runs from €0.2 to €20. Bonus buy isn’t available, so in the demo, watch how often expanding reel symbols appear and how the multiplier builds across the 8 free spins. Hit frequency isn’t published, so feeling it out yourself in the demo is the most accurate way.
