Ankh of Anubis Awakening

Ankh of Anubis Awakening is the sequel to the 2019 slot Ankh of Anubis, in which Anubis returns with new power to a futuristic Egypt along the Nile. It was released on August 22, 2024 and you can play it with the free demo.

How does Ankh of Anubis Awakening connect to the original?

Following the 2019 original, the story has Anubis, god of the underworld, returning with new power to lead the kingdom to glory. The setting shifts to a futuristic Egyptian city, mixing ancient mythology with a sci-fi mood in an intriguing way. Among the Egyptian-themed Play’n GO slots, it’s a good pick if you want a different look.

When does the Anubis Wild appear?

The Anubis Wild can trigger randomly during regular spins. When it triggers, wilds are added to the reels, boosting your chances of forming winning combinations. In free spins, it returns when you collect five ankh symbols, adding the same Anubis Wild to the reels. Wilds are also added all at once in the base game, so the anticipation stays steady.

How does the Anubis Respin continue?

When a non-winning spin shows ankh and wild symbols together, the Anubis Respin begins. During the respin, all wilds lock in place and expand up and down to cover the entire reel. The feature continues until every wild has turned into a stacked wild. Since a spin with no win can lead into a respin, it turns a disappointing moment into an opportunity. The sight of wilds covering whole reels in a row is quite striking.

What is the max number of free spins?

Landing 3 or more sand-colored scatters starts free spins, and you get up to 20 depending on the scatter count. Collecting five ankh symbols during free spins adds Anubis Wilds to the reels. Bonus buy is not available. The more scatters you collect, the more free spins you get, so you’ll keep watching right up to the last reel. The round gets stronger as you collect ankhs.

What should I check first in the demo?

RTP is 96.20% and the max win is 15,000x your bet. There is no official volatility figure, so use the demo to get a feel for how often the Anubis Respin triggers. It’s also worth checking how many spins it takes to collect five ankhs in free spins. Be sure to watch the moments when the respin carries all the way through to stacked wilds.
