Sparky&Shortz Hidden Joules

Sparky&Shortz Hidden Joules is the sequel to the popular Sparky&Shortz, a sci-fi grid slot where two droids rescue rare creatures and precious resources from a planet on the brink of destruction. It was released on June 29, 2023, and you can play the free demo right away.

Who are Sparky and Shortz?

They are the most diligent and charming pair of droids in the galaxy. Following the previous game, this time they travel to a distant planet facing a catastrophe, where they are tasked with rescuing exotic creatures and precious materials. Among the sci-fi grid lineup from Play’n GO slots, this one stands out for its character chemistry. The bickering-style banter between the two droids is a welcome touch for fans of the previous game.

How does the 7×7 grid play out?

On the 7×7 grid, when symbol combinations form they disappear, and new symbols drop into the empty spots in a cascade. A chain reaction can continue within a single spin, and these cascades can also trigger other bonus features. The longer the chain, the better the chance of leading into the next feature, so you’ll watch each spin through to the end. The wide grid also leaves plenty of room for symbols to connect.

How are the boost meter and the win multiplier related?

The boost meter charges every time a winning combination disappears from the grid. The fuller the meter gets, the higher the win multiplier climbs too, so wins get bigger. The voltage rises as the chain gets longer, so the moments when cascades keep going feel especially thrilling. You can see how far the meter has filled, so the anticipation builds with every link in the chain.

How many types of feature wilds are there?

There are four feature wilds. Each wild included in a winning combination brings a different bonus. The effect depends on which wild joins the win, so it’s worth paying attention to each wild’s look. Wilds take effect when part of a winning combination, so it’s fun to watch whether matching symbols gather around them. To meet all four types, it’s best to spin the demo many times.

What should I check first in the demo?

RTP is 96.2% and the max win is 6,000x. There’s no official volatility figure, so get a feel for it in the demo. It helps to check, one by one, how many cascades it takes to fill the boost meter and what effect each of the four feature wilds has. Bonus buy isn’t available, so you have to meet every feature through spins.
