In a near-future city lit by flashing neon signs, a fox in high-tech gear stands before a vault. His name is Robert Redtail. He is the star of Redtail Robber Cash Vault Heist, released by Play’n GO on October 8.
The gear is for show, the fox does the work
The setting is a cyberpunk-style city. The more coins collect, the flashier Robert’s gear becomes. But this change is purely cosmetic. It does not affect the game’s results. Play’n GO made this point clear in its press release too. The collecting is handled by the fox symbol.

Play’n GO game ambassador Magnus Wallentin said of Robert, “He has just the right swagger for this setting.” What he liked most was the contrast between the sleek high-tech city and the expressive fox.
The fox collects coins on reel 5
In the base game, the fox symbol lands only on reel 5. The moment it lands, it collects all the coin values on screen and pays them out. A random multiplier can be attached on top. The multiplier is one of x2, x3, x5, or x10, and sometimes nothing is attached. A x10 fox arriving with a screen full of coins makes for the biggest moment.
Coins come with values from x0.2 to x5. Mystery symbols also drop in mixed with them, and when opened they reveal one of the x10, x20, x50, or x100 cash pots. In that the value is only collected when the fox arrives, it resembles the Slay Collector in Cursed Moon Power Collection. In Cursed Moon the collector appears on the two outer reels, while in Redtail Robber it appears only on reel 5.
The coins themselves do not create line wins. If the fox does not arrive, the coins on screen simply disappear on that spin. So in the base game, whether the fox lands on reel 5 matters more than how many coins are on the board. The fox also acts as a wild, helping to continue regular symbol wins.
The mystery symbol moves separately from the coins. It can land on any cell, and when the spin ends it opens to reveal a cash pot prize. Since the top coin value is x5 while mystery starts at a minimum of x10, it carries a lot of weight for a one-cell symbol. In the bonus game, it also takes on the role of refilling lives along with the coins.
In free spins, the fox changes position
In free spins too, the fox stays on the board. It moves to a new position between spins. The difference from the base game is that you no longer have to wait for reel 5 alone.
The bonus game starts with three lives
Each coin has a chance of leading into the bonus game. If six coins land in a single spin, entry is guaranteed. The bonus starts from an empty board with 3 lives, and each spin uses up one life. When a new coin or mystery symbol lands, lives refill to 3. When nothing more lands, the values stacked on the board are paid out all at once. It is the familiar Hold & Spin rule set.
The clear condition for guaranteeing six coins is a strength of this game. In spins with four or five coins on the board, you find yourself waiting for just one more to land. Even outside the guaranteed condition, each coin has its own chance of triggering entry, so there are moments when just one or two coins open the bonus.
A swaggering fox is the face of this game
Play’n GO closed its press release this way: “Robert certainly looks the part.” Wallentin added, “The neon and gear set the mood, but it’s the fox that gives it personality,” and “Robert looks very pleased with himself.” The press release spent more time on the character than on feature descriptions. That shows what Play’n GO put up front with this release.
The RTP is 96.2% and volatility is classified as high. The max win multiplier has not been disclosed yet. In the demo, a good place to start is seeing which multipliers the fox usually brings along. Other new releases are listed on the Play’n GO game page.
