Overview
PG Soft, officially Pocket Games Soft, is a slot game developer. It launched in 2015 and is a B2B company based in Valletta, Malta, supplying games to operators. As the name suggests, its biggest hallmark is that it has built games around “games in your pocket,” meaning smartphones, from the very start.
It has around 190 games, with flashy visuals that mix 2D and light 3D animation and many themes built around Asian mythology and good luck. It first made a name in Asian markets, and in the 2020s Fortune Tiger became wildly popular in Brazil, making it a leading provider in Latin America.
Mobile-first design
PG Soft games are built in HTML5 and run on both PC and mobile, but the basic design is for portrait screens. This is the opposite of most slots, which are built for landscape and then adapted to mobile. As a result, they suit one-handed mobile play especially well, and the button layout and visuals are optimized for portrait screens.
It publishes RTP and volatility for each game separately, and most have an RTP of 96% or higher.

In September 2020, Malta MGA temporarily suspended the license of Pocket Games Software Limited. The reasons given were that it did not file the documents for a change in its shareholder structure within the deadline (30 days) and did not submit its industry performance reports for the first and second halves of 2019. In the current MGA lookup, the license shows as Licensed.
PG Soft states that it does not provide services in Singapore and Malaysia.
Top slots
Mahjong Ways
A 5×4, 1,024 ways slot that uses mahjong tiles as symbols. Each time a cascade continues, with winning symbols disappearing and new ones dropping in, the multiplier above the screen rises, and when a gold symbol on the middle reels is used in a win, it turns into a wild. Three scatters award 12 free spins, and during free spins the multiplier doubles, going up to 10x. It has RTP 96.92%, medium volatility, and a max of 2,893x. Its sequel, Mahjong Ways 2, also became very popular.
Fortune Tiger
Released in March 2022, this is a simple 3×3, 5-payline slot. When the tiger randomly triggers “Fortune Tiger Respin,” certain symbols stay locked on the screen while respins continue, and if the whole screen fills with the same symbol, the win is multiplied by 10. It has RTP 96.81%, medium volatility, and a max of 2,500x. It became so famous in Brazil that it earned the nickname “Jogo do Tigrinho” (the tiger game).
Fortune series
After Fortune Tiger’s success, a series with the same structure followed, featuring zodiac animals as the main characters: Fortune Ox (ox), Fortune Rabbit (rabbit), and Fortune Mouse (mouse).
| Games | Structure | RTP | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mahjong Ways | 5×4, 1,024 ways, cascading multipliers | 96.92% | 2,893x |
| Fortune Tiger | 3×3, 5 paylines, respins | 96.81% | 2,500x |
Brazil’s “Tiger Game” craze
Fortune Tiger became hugely popular in Brazil on the back of aggressive promotion by social media influencers. But some influencers posted “simulator version” videos with inflated RTPs, making it look easy to win big money, and it became a social issue. Brazilian police arrested or investigated about 40 influencers in “Operation Game Over” and seized luxury goods worth 38 million reais. The issue was less gambling itself than false advertising.
Brazil legalized fixed-odds betting and online gaming through Law No. 14,790 in 2023, with the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) under the Ministry of Finance in charge of regulation. PG Soft joined the Brazilian Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL), and in May 2025 it officially launched Fortune Tiger in Brazil’s regulated market through SkillOnNet.
Response to knockoff games
When Fortune Tiger knockoffs started circulating on illegal Southeast Asia-based sites, PG Soft released a verification tool that lets players check whether a game is genuine using the transaction ID. Enter the transaction ID in the lobby and click “Verify” to see whether it is authentic.
