History
Products
Slots
Makes a wide range of slots, from Eastern mythology and good-luck themes to Western mythology. Most are HTML5 games that run right in a mobile browser.
Multiplayer fishing game
This is CQ9’s signature genre. You fire a cannon at fish swimming across the screen, and each fish you catch pays a set multiplier of your bet. Multiple players shoot on the same screen together. Paradise and Lucky Fishing are the best-known titles. Unlike regular slots, aiming and timing come into play, so it feels closer to an arcade game.
Arcade and table games
Also makes arcade games like the racing game “Track” and “Live Marble Run,” which presents marble races like a live broadcast, along with card and board games.

Why fishing games are popular
Fishing games have been a popular genre since the offline arcade days in China, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. The cost of firing the cannon becomes your bet, and the bigger the fish, the harder it is to catch but the larger the multiplier. Because several players compete on one screen, it feels more like “playing a game” than a slot does. CQ9 brought this genre online and made a name for itself in the Asian market.
That said, the results of fishing games are also determined by a random number generator (RNG) and a fixed return-to-player rate. Just like slots, the probability design, not your aiming skill, decides the outcome.

Market Expansion
CQ9 started out in Asia, but teamed up with QTech Games in 2022 to gain distribution networks in Eastern Europe and Latin America. In 2024-2025 it appeared at one international trade show after another, including BiS SiGMA, iGB Live and the SBC Summit, and in late 2025 it unveiled a new brand identity as it works to become a global provider. Asian countries where the domestic online gaming market is growing, such as the Philippines (PAGCOR), are also an important stage.
