EGT (Euro Games Technology) Euro Games Technology (EGT)

Overview

EGT (Euro Games Technology) is a casino gaming machine manufacturer launched in 2002 in Sofia, Bulgaria. It has more than 2,500 employees, 26 offices around the world, and supplies products to more than 90 jurisdictions. It emphasizes a “closed production structure” in which it handles everything from R&D to manufacturing itself, without outside bank loans.

EGT machines are common in casinos and arcades in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa and parts of Asia. Its online business is handled by EGT Digital, which supplies popular offline games for online casinos.

Game style

EGT’s signature slots are classic-style, using symbols like fruit, 7s, stars and crowns. Many have a simple structure with no bonus, where wins come only from the base game, and the series with “Hot” in the name is especially famous.

These classic slots belong to the fruit slot genre, with simple rules and a fast pace per round. With no bonus, the winning structure is easy to understand, but big wins are rare.

Jackpot Cards

EGT’s signature feature is “Jackpot Cards.” It is a 4-level mystery jackpot (clubs, diamonds, hearts, spades) linked across multiple machines. When a jackpot game starts at random, you flip cards and win the jackpot level of the first suit to match 3 cards. You can enter the jackpot game no matter which slot you are playing, which made it very popular in offline arcades. The same jackpot is often attached to online versions of the games too.

Offline machine business

EGT also supplies slot cabinets (the machine housing), “game mixes” that bundle multiple games, and casino management systems. Many of its machines are multi-game, with dozens of games in a single machine that players pick from on screen.

Before you play

• The RTP of online versions can differ by game and casino. Classic EGT slots are often in the 95-96% range (RTP).
• Even classic slots with no bonus often come with a gamble feature. Gamble does not raise the expected value.
