Overview
AvatarUX is a slot studio founded in Malta in 2018. It holds Malta MGA and UK UKGC licenses and has built more than 100 games. AvatarUX’s signature is its own mechanic, PopWins. The company itself says PopWins has become “part of AvatarUX’s identity.”
What is PopWins
With PopWins, when a winning symbol “pops,” two new symbols appear in its place. So every time you win, that reel grows by one row, and the number of ways to win keeps increasing.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Win | Winning symbols pop and disappear |
| 2. Expand | Each popped symbol drops 2 new symbols, making the reel taller |
| 3. Chain | If new symbols create another win, the process keeps repeating |
| 4. End | It ends when there are no more wins. The reel size returns to normal on the next spin |
It combines a tumble (chain win) with reel expansion, so the longer the chain runs, the more winning combinations explode. Some games also keep the enlarged reel size during free spins. You can read about other providers’ signature mechanics at provider signature mechanics.
Top games
| Games | Highlights |
|---|---|
| CherryPop | The flagship fruit-themed PopWins game |
| PopRocks | Rock music theme |
| LooneyPop, MonkeyPop 2, HipHopPop, BountyPop | Various themes in the Pop series |
| Floridaman | Not a PopWins game. A slot themed around a wacky US news meme |
| Nugget | A gold mine themed game that is not PopWins |
Things to know before playing
PopWins games pay big when chains run long, so volatility tends to be high (volatility). Most spins end quickly, and big wins are rare. We recommend checking out the chain structure in a free slot demo first.
