Overview
Aggregators (Game Aggregators) are B2B platforms that bring slots and casino games from many providers together and supply them to online casino operators through a single integration. The industry outlet iGB briefly defines them as “software that connects operators and providers at scale.”
This structure is exactly why the same slot shows up on so many sites at once. Once a provider integrates a game with an aggregator, the game can spread to every operator that has a contract with that aggregator.
Why is it needed?
Every provider has different servers, game data formats, and settlement methods. If an operator had to set up technical integrations one by one with dozens of providers, it would take a lot of time and money. An aggregator handles these connections instead, so operators receive many games through a single point of contact, and providers can release games to operators and regions they would find hard to contract with directly.
What aggregators do
| Features | Details |
|---|---|
| Technical integration | They bundle the different connection methods of each provider into one API and offer it to operators. |
| Regulatory compliance | They help meet certification and regulatory requirements for each market and also give advice on newly opened markets. |
| Game logic handling | They connect the different features and mechanics of each provider to fit the operator’s system. |
| Data provision | Based on game performance data gathered from many operators, they provide information such as popular games by region. |
| Security and scaling | They provide infrastructure and security that can hold up as traffic grows. |
Recently, a platform-style (PaaS) model has also appeared, in which the operator uses only the aggregator’s infrastructure and negotiates terms directly with some providers.
Scale and trends
Large aggregators say that, as of 2025, they supply more than 35,000 games from over 300 providers on a single platform. One aggregator executive even said that more than €100 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) passes through their platform every month. In newly regulated markets such as Brazil and Mexico, the role of aggregators that know local certification and popular games is growing.
What players should know
Even when a game goes through an aggregator, its math model and RNG remain exactly as the provider made them. However, when a provider releases the same game with several RTPs, the RTP can differ from site to site depending on which version the operator chooses (see RTP versions).
