SYNKROS

SYNKROS is Konami’s casino management system. It manages the slot machines installed in a casino in real time, and handles member customers’ play records and rewards, table games, security, and even anti-money laundering (AML) monitoring in a single system. It is installed at more than 400 integrated resorts, casinos, and cruise ships. It is considered one of Konami’s big strengths that a slot company supplies casino operating software as well as machines.

Cabinets and Games

Konami emphasizes screen presentation with cabinets such as the “Solstice 49C” and “Dimension 49J,” which have 49-inch 4K curved screens. Cabinet series such as Advantage5 and Podium have also been in use for a long time. Among its games, Asian-themed slots like “China Shores” and “Lotus Land,” and jackpot series linking multiple machines, are widely known (Asian fortune theme).

More recently, it has also introduced machines with skill elements, such as “Jackpot Island,” which mixes in pinball-style play.

A Video Game Company and Casinos

Konami has carried over the machine manufacturing and screen presentation technology it built up since its arcade game days to casino slots. However, casinos are not yet operating in Japan (an integrated resort law exists, but none have opened), so Konami Gaming’s revenue comes mainly from overseas markets such as the US and Australia. As with other slots, the results are decided by an RNG, and the RTP follows the standards of each jurisdiction.

Headquarters

Konami Gaming's US headquarters is in Las Vegas.
